For those of you, who are die-hard romantics...with an eye for art and aesthetics...and admire all the colourful things in life...dynamism of design, flowers, books, clothes etc....

Men's fashion
Men's fashion is even more complex than women's. To begin with there is not much scope to experiment especially in India where designer wear is synonymous with festive wear which includes badhgalas and sherwanis(jodhpurs by Gaurav Gupta were drool worthy though). And androgynous fashion is certainly not for the god of geeks who live their lives in color palette of blues and greys when they go to office in blue shirts, grey blazer and black loafers. It takes some gusto to try something new, experimental and revolting.
Personally I like a look which suits a fashionable young guy who has a gym toned body and also a penchant for accessories like the neck scarves, panama hats, bracelets and belts. I think if the legs are well toned and also tattooed then shorts and capris look fabulous for an evening on a beach. Also a neck scarf with a knot dandifies the over all masculinity. Throw in some artistic Dolce Gabbana neck pieces, Gucci chains, beads or Laddakhi pendants and leave the bangs unkempt(a la Pete Wentz or Zac Efron)falling on a side of the temple and you've got a look.
Belts and shoes form important elements in a man's ensemble. Red shoes (a la Ashton Kutcher), or the shoes in the yummy shade of green depicted in Paul Smith's mens collection were simply rock on! Knotted belts at Paul Smith and canvas belts are a cheaper option over the leather ones besides there is a plethora of colours to choose from. From olive green to pimento red-belts can make and break an ensemble.
I believe designing for men is also a tough call because there is lot of tailoring involved - be it shoulder padding or the stitches on the seams.
One man that had always left me speechless with his untiring re-invention is David Beckham. Be it his tattoos, bald look, spiky hair or tanned look-just about everything makes you fall hook, line and sinker.

esp agree with the point that guys looks great with shorts in beach!
one suggestion is adding some photos would definitely makes the post more interesting.
wait for your comment on my blog also!
My taste for fashion would not have been this pathetic had I got a buddy like you!
You know, it's always nice that blogging makes social interaction possible without physical interaction.
Cuz I don't want to stand in front of you and be dissected and ridiculed for being an ugly dresser!
Good writing!
Hey, nice blog.
I just thought you would like to put a Google Web Search Widget in your sidebar. You and your readers will easily be able to search google from your site.
Or you could blog about it...
