Finally the defining moment came when the bible of fashion and luxury-Vogue hit the Indian magazine stands and I was able to lay my hands on the glossy that featured Gemma Ward flanked by Indian actresses like Bipasha, Priyanka and Preity apart from models Laxmi Menon and Monikangna Dutta.
I particularly enjoyed Vogue's party coverage-RSVP and also the "Vogue Shop" pages.
Interview of Frida Giannini of Gucci and features on Coco Chanel made great reading.
The debate between Sari and LBD is worth mentioning.
Though I enjoyed L'Officiel more because of its mind blowing Bollywood feature. Shah Rukh Khan's interview and pictures with models were great and also Karan Johar's chat with Chiffon King Yash Chopra. Kareena as Madhubala, Urmila as Devdas' Chandramukhi and Tanisha as Bobby in a polka dotted knotted blouse were really spell binding.
I think it was a fetching tribute to the Indian cinema!
For those of you, who are die-hard romantics...with an eye for art and aesthetics...and admire all the colourful things in life...dynamism of design, flowers, books, clothes etc....

I am surprised to spot so many names-dropped on ur blog and then read about you liking Vogue India--from the cover to begin with... i found it bad, even though i am sure it will sink in with time- it just dosen't have the U.K spark or the indian feel to it: it's suspended between being and becoming- not something to be addressed in an opening issue.
ps. check the nov issue and Beautiful people.
-l'officiel is better than most mags in terms of overall content.
