Front row

On the front row!
Fashion week just got over and also those painful back breaking moments on those uncomfortable seats when gate crashers squeeze in much to every one's chagrin. First big show on day one was of designer Arjun Khanna's who showed his men's line. His show saw couturier's signature pomp and flourish, with bratty model Upen Patel threatening to perform a striptease!!!
Some of the heavily embroidered sherwanis and waist coats were to die for though they inspired a sense of deja vu from Arjun's last "Black" collection.
Sabyasachi's bridal show on day 2 was another eagerly awaited show that saw a choc-a-bloc packed audience. The muted colour palette was soooo very Sabya and heavily embellished layered outfits and fitted cholis made the whole look sensual in a cuddlier way!
Sabya's ramp was of red velvet and gleaming chandeliers lent it a great glow!
Though the line saw a lot of influence from Sabya's last collection.
Shockingly the grand finale was a big let down!
Manish Malhotra's winter couture collection was cluttered and clumsy with no distinct theme or flow in the show. The outfits which I doubt who'll pick up(may be Parmeshwar Godrej-his loyal fan) were clearly heavy for a Mumbai autumn(considering that Mumbai doesn't even have one) and didn't even qualify as a chic resort wear.
Anyways what made it all the more news worthy was the dazzling front row-Kareena looking devastatingly lethal in a black cocktail dress with her latest arm candy Saif Ali Khan besides Arun Nayar and Preity Zinta.
It was difficult to take one's eyes of Kareena and concentrate on clothes.
Jesse Randhawa dazzled the ramp and so did Monikangna Dutta.
Finally the end of another fashion lesson replete with cat fights, designer copies and juicy gossip.
