Big Mama of fashion comes to India!!!
September 2007 is going to be the most splendid and memorable month in India's fashion calendar. With Vogue coming this month, the excitement surrounding the fashion bible is palpable with fashion freaks looking forward to its launch.
But I am a bit sceptical about many things. Will it recruits competent people who would understand fashion and who won't get into designer's PR tactics-those who'll write a brutally honest fashion critique without any hesitations-those who won't be after freebies and take their jobs seriously.
As things stand currently, its all PR game.
And the most important factor will be the choice of the cover-will it be a model or a film star given India's fascination with movie stars?
I really hope that like its international editions, Indian Vogue turns out to be the most revered institution that is respected across the spectrum for its great visual oomph and journalistic veracity!
