The Power Of Trench

Trench-anting!

I've always lusted after trenches- in different colours acid yellow, olive green, mauve, fuchia, cherry red, gun metal grey and black. They look super cool, ultra-stylish and project a strong and confident personality of the wearer. A classic well cut black trench coat tied at the waist with a belt having a sexy buckle is a riveting visual. It is masculine and sexy and inspires a sense of awe and infatuation.
And who doesn't like Burberry trenches? They are simply timelessly chic and every season Burberry brings them out with a new twist. Sometimes snug fit and caressing the silhouette giving a hint of androgyny while sometimes having broader, more pronounced shoulders and just lining the body-they tend to suit all the body types.
I think trench coats are an impressive metaphor of power dressing. Elongated lapels, epaulets and cutesy buttons add to the oomph! They look stunning in all kinds of situations- could be a rainy day when you went out shopping or when you just entered a boardroom to attend a meeting or could be a moony date at a secluded place.
My idea of a perfect ensemble would be a long trench coat worn with a nice neck scarve and skinny jeans. And to complement the trench, one can thrown in a luxe-lit leather bag(may be burberry or bottega venetta) and wear classic Rayban aviators.
Given Mumbai's sultry weather, one can't indulge in these fashionable masterpieces though one can surely throw them on while vacationing in Paris or London.
