London Fashion Week Fall 2008

Goth reigns!

Gareth Pugh and Giles blew my breath away with their eccentric take on the goth look with samurai predatory dresses made with zippers and goat hair epaulets(one favorite of mine)! London is definitely much more arty, inspirational, theatrical compared to the commercial New York. The goth look by Pugh reminded me of Alexander McQueen's take on the goth in the past.
I also liked Roksanda Ilincic and her ode to Brazilian tropical beauty-yummy colours like green, pink and orange. The clothes were beautifully sculptured.
Luella and House Of Holland were other two collections stood out. I loved model's make-up, headgears and especially the enormous hair-dos and gorgeous mini dresses.
Aygness Deyn looked as cute as ever when she started the House Of Holland collection. Simply loved the mini-kilts in tartans.
Liked the large use of plaids, hounds tooth patterns and superb make-up at punk queen Vivienne Westwood's showing.
Can't wait to catch up with more action ...
