I enjoyed going through most of pre-fall 2008 collections. I particularly enjoyed Chanel(my all time favourite)show with models sporting cutesy bouffant and long eye liners. The collection titled Voilà: Métiers d'Art had models sporting gorgeous jackets, shirt dresses with lots of chanel jewellery(loved the brooches and chains) and bags which have become a cult among the fashionistas.
Also adored the Versace look-straight hair with gorgeous black A-line dresses.
Burberry is another brand that has been catching my fancy so often and this time too the outwear didn't disappoint!
Giorgio Armani had some sexy blazers with full trousers.
Skirt suits from Oscar de le Renta were fab and also
Nicole Phleps from Style.com was floored by Badgley Mischka and she noted "chances are good that we'll be seeing these two numbers on the red carpet next month when awards season starts." But somehow I didn't find it really impressive. Animal prints have become an eyesore with every other designer using them!
I particularly liked a plaid dress from Bill Blass.
Next month will see designers showing to fall 2008. Though I am looking forwards to the red carpet razzmatazz that'll follow!
For those of you, who are die-hard romantics...with an eye for art and aesthetics...and admire all the colourful things in life...dynamism of design, flowers, books, clothes etc....
