Everyone worth knowing
After lapping up "The Devil Wears Prada", I was quite looking forward to release of Lauren Weisberger's next book, "Everyone Worth Knowing". I must say it was even more rocking than the first celebrated best seller. The plot revolves around celebrity world in Manhattan. There is Phillip Weston, Manhattan's favourite party boy who has a physique like a greek god, who does yoga early in the morning, lives in a mansion, who's rumoured to have an affair with Gwyneth Paltrow and every Victoria Secret's model is dying to sleep with him.
Then there is Bette bored with her deglamourised banking job. She enters the PR world where you are paid to party and falls for this bouncer Sammy who happens to be a great chef.
Then there is Ellie insider the corrosive gossip column that turns Bette's life upside down.
Apart from that there is anorexic Elisa who further fuels trouble into her life. All this and much more play out their lives against an enchanting backdrop of Manhattan...with its Playboy bashes and drug binges....
The book is funny, hilarious and a must read for all the fashion lovers... :)
For those of you, who are die-hard romantics...with an eye for art and aesthetics...and admire all the colourful things in life...dynamism of design, flowers, books, clothes etc....
